Random......

By Pastor Lin on 1/31/2009

I continue to pray for my brother who was in and out of the hospital again this week.  He and my mother have been on a long, difficult journey the last few years.

There's quite a few people in our church that I am praying much for.  I sense the spiritual battles that they are in..... I don't think most people have any idea how much burden their pastors carry for them or how much we love and pray for them.

I think I made a new friend this week.  I feel like a bond was forged in the name of Jesus.  I am so grateful to connect with another sister in Christ.  I'm trying hard to pour more energy into friendships as I know how much I need them.  I know I neglect my own needs at times.  :-)

The message for tomorrow is heavy on my heart tonight.  It's deep and I pray that hearts are open to hear how God might speak to each.

I pray for other pastors in our area often.  I think of them & I wish we could all act more like the one body of Christ together.  The ministry keeps us so busy, it's hard to maintain or make relationships outside the church and somehow I know this is so wrong.

I had too much salty food today. :-)

Saturday's are not my favorite day of the week.  I get this nervous kind of energy in anticipation and preparation for Sunday.  I never sleep too well on Sat. nights and my stomach feels like it has knots in it.  There feels like so much pressure to deliver a message from God.  I don't want to mess it up.

I am praying so much for our economy.  My heart aches for all the people from Xerox and Kodak that got laid off this week.  I keep wondering what will happen next.  I hope it will bring more people closer to the Lord!

I am excited about doing a new song tomorrow in church called "Whatever You're Doing" by Sanctus Real.  I can't stop singing it in my head!

Lord God, please show us Your glory tomorrow at BHCC and in all Your churches. Let it be a time of building up and of healing for many.  Pour out your love and power & please, please double our portion of blessing.  I pray Your Son will get all the glory and praise forever and ever! In Jesus' name I pray, AMEN!
