Excited about all God is doing!

By Pastor Lin on 1/10/2011

I'm so excited to be starting the year 2011.  There's something about that number that has an amazingly good feel to it! We've had such incredibly positive momentum at BHCC recently that I can't wait to see all that God will continue to unfold for us in the year ahead.

Here's just a few of the things I'm excited about at BHCC;

I think we may have had more growth in new members in 2010 than in any other year at our church. There are 50+ new people and it's like welcoming family members HOME!!!

I'm excited in the drving focus for developing leaders for 2011.  In Dec., we had an all day Leadership Retreat and invited several Ministry Team Leaders as well as our Lead Team.  It's a huge blessing to me to have Mark R.'s help in training and raising up new leaders!  We have another half day retreat on Feb. 12th.

I'm excited about the MANY new worship team members.  It's awesome that we now finally have enough people to rotate musicians and vocalists so more people get opportunities and others get weeks to rest.  I LOVE how diverse in age and in other ways our team has become.  I'm incredibly proud of the professional quality of music we have each week!  The new JBL's and subwoofers add a lot as well! (And Kudo's to the hard-working, talented sound team!)

I'm very excited about our upcoming Fireproof Your Marriage classes and am thrilled to see how many couples have signed up!

I'm also thrilled about starting the Crazy Love Series by Francis Chan.  I've heard Pastor Chan speak several times and I am so touched by his passion for God.  I know this will be an awesome series and I love the fact that we'll have mid-week classes on the same subject.

I love the obvious enthusiasm and positive attitude of the members of BHCC about the church.  We are such a wonderful, exciting, growing, happy, loved filled church right now and I am praying those attributes never change.  Someone recently described our church as 'innocent.'  I liked that description since innocent means not tainted to me.  :-)

I love how so many people are volunteering and stepping up for the first time recently.  I've never seen a church that has so many people with the gift of helps.  People want to get involved and it really seems like most everyone truly gets the vision of the church!  Praise be to God!

It's been great having more people doing the message recently.  I really think the church is incredibly blessed by having more pastors preaching.

I know we'll have challenges ahead and the enemy will always keep sending in wolves to try and divide the flock but the foundation and vision of the church is so very solid right now that I feel so much at peace about the future of BHCC.  God has huge plans for us and in many ways, we have only just begun!
